    Descrição

About the Role The FACTS Initiative is seeking an experienced, ethically driven mental health professional to join our Board of Directors as the Clinical Relations Officer.

Please note: While we operate with a working board due to our organization’s size, this is strictly an advisory and governance role, not an operational staff position. You will not be expected to execute daily operational tasks, carry a caseload, or provide direct daily supervision to clinicians. Instead, you will offer high-level guidance, review policies, and provide strategic recommendations to ensure professional oversight and informed decision-making.

As the Clinical Relations Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that The FACTS Initiative maintains the highest professional and ethical standards in all clinical services. By providing your clinical expertise, you will strengthen the agency’s professional reputation and ensure our programs align with industry best practices.

What You Will Do (Governance & Oversight)

    • Clinical Oversight & Compliance: Monitor and assess agency clinical services to ensure alignment with ethical and professional guidelines. Review documentation procedures and structure policies in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Ethical & Professional Guidance: Advise executive leadership and the board on complex ethical dilemmas or mental health crises. Ensure the organization remains in good standing with professional associations and licensing bodies.
    • Strategic Advisement: Work closely with the Executive Team to provide strategic input on clinical policies and service development. Communicate significant clinical observations directly to the board.
    • Training & Best Practices: Provide high-level recommendations for staff development, specifically focusing on trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions. Support initiatives that enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization’s clinical services.

    Who We Are Looking For

    • Mental health professionals holding a Master’s degree or higher in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
    • Clinicians with proven experience, deep expertise in best practices, and a strong foundation in ethical decision-making.
    • Preferred: Individuals with supervisory experience in clinical mental health settings.
    • Collaborative leaders with excellent written and verbal communication skills who can seamlessly translate clinical concepts for non-clinical board members.

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 2 hours per week.
    • Attendance and active participation in quarterly board meetings.
    • Occasional additional time may be required during clinical crises, major policy reviews, or strategic training planning.

Why Join Us? The Clinical Relations Officer is the ultimate safeguard for our clinical integrity. By providing high-level oversight, guidance, and expertise, you will ensure that our mental health programs remain ethically sound, exceptionally effective, and truly transformative for the vulnerable children and families we serve.
