Help Someone Discover the Joy of Creating with Clay
Ardmore is seeking a creative and patient volunteer who would enjoy introducing a gentleman (David) with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to the world of pottery and ceramics.
David is interested in exploring new artistic experiences and would benefit from spending time with someone who enjoys working with clay, pottery, ceramics, or other hands-on creative arts. Whether you're an experienced potter, ceramics hobbyist, art educator, or simply someone who loves creating, your guidance could open the door to a meaningful new hobby and source of self-expression.
What You'll Do:
- Build a supportive friendship through shared creative experiences
- Introduce basic pottery or ceramics techniques
- Visit local pottery studios, community art centers, or ceramic workshops together
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and skill development
- Help make art accessible and enjoyable in a relaxed, person-centered way
Volunteer Commitment:
- Looking for someone available during weekday business hours
- Sessions can take place at community pottery studios, art centers, or other appropriate locations
Ideal Volunteer:
- Enjoys pottery, ceramics, sculpture, or clay arts
- Patient, encouraging, and dependable
- Values inclusion and community connection
- No teaching experience required—just a willingness to share your passion
Why Volunteer?
A shared hobby can become much more than an activity—it can build confidence, foster friendships, and create opportunities for personal growth. By sharing your love of pottery and ceramics, you'll help someone discover new talents while making a meaningful connection in your community.
Join us in helping creativity take shape—one piece of clay at a time.
