Live Events Team Leader

SASA is looking for a Volunteer (unpaid) Live Events Team Leader to lead the team of interns and volunteers in facilitating SASA events online. This position is most well-suited for someone with a passion for the ancient world or looking to pursue a career in event organizing and communications. They must be flexible, adaptive, and comfortable working independently.

Salary: unpaid

Duration: ongoing volunteer

Hours: 5-10 hours per week

Location: remote with regular weekly meetings online

Position Description & Responsibilities:

As Live Events team leader you will help to develop the SASA live events program and related tasks. This includes organizing Twitch streaming events, Book clubs, Master Classes, and more. These online events are a great way for others to get involved both with ancient studies but also SASA!

Examples of responsibilities include:

• Assisting with developing process workflow and procedures
• Communicating internal improvements to other teams
• Planning and hosting a variety of events
• Attending meetings with SASA’s Programming Coordinator
