    Descrição

Help shape a growing movement at the intersection of women’s health, advocacy, research, and equity.

Mpowered Menopause is seeking a creative, mission-driven Social Media & Digital Communications Specialist to help amplify our voice, expand our digital reach, and build momentum for our annual Millions 4 Menopause (M4M) 5K fundraiser this fall.

Menopause impacts all women, yet menopause and midlife women’s health remain dramatically underfunded and underrecognized in research, healthcare, and public discourse. We are working to change that through awareness-building, community engagement, advocacy, and fundraising for research.

Last year, we launched our inaugural Millions 4 Menopause 5K. This year, we aim to significantly expand participation, visibility, and community engagement — and we’re looking for someone who wants to use their creativity and digital storytelling skills to help make that happen.

    About the Role

We are a small, volunteer-run nonprofit with a passionate and collaborative team. We’re looking for someone who can help strengthen our digital presence, grow engagement, and translate complex issues into compelling, accessible, and “scroll-stopping” content.

This role offers meaningful creative ownership and flexibility. It is ideal for someone looking to build a portfolio while contributing to a cause that affects millions of women worldwide.

    Goals

Expand digital reach and visibility leading up to and through the M4M 5K campaign

Increase audience engagement and supporter participation

Grow awareness of menopause equity and research funding gaps

Help drive momentum for fundraising, partnerships, and community-building

Build sustainable digital communications tools and systems that can continue beyond the campaign

    Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage a 5-month social media and content strategy leading up to and following the M4M 5K

Create engaging content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and/or other platforms

Design branded Canva templates for posts, carousels, stories, and calls-to-action

Help elevate stories, educational content, fundraising messaging, and campaign milestones

Recommend strategies to increase engagement, followers, visibility, and campaign participation

Support campaign storytelling before, during, and after the Millions 4 Menopause 5K

Track basic engagement metrics and identify opportunities for growth and refinement

Create tools and systems that support long-term sustainability for a volunteer-run organization

    What We Provide

    Brand guidelines (colors, fonts, messaging)

Existing photo, video, and story assets

Access to Canva Pro and scheduling tools

Collaborative support from a passionate, mission-driven team

Creative freedom to experiment and innovate

Opportunities for portfolio-building, professional references/recommendations, and exposure to nonprofit, advocacy, and women’s health networks

    Ideal Candidate

You might be a great fit if you are:

Passionate about women’s health, equity, advocacy, or social impact

A strong visual storyteller and content creator

Comfortable creating graphics in Canva and writing engaging captions

Familiar with social media growth and engagement strategies

Self-directed, organized, and excited to take initiative

Interested in helping build visibility for an important and overlooked issue

Students, emerging professionals, freelancers building a portfolio, and experienced professionals interested in contributing

pro bono are all encouraged to apply.
