    Descrição

    The Gift Shop Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the JAARS Gift Shop. Ensuring that the JAARS Gift Shop efficiently supports the JAARS mission by allowing visitors and supporters to tangibly connect with JAARS through merchandise.

    Position Responsibilities

    Sales & Inventory Management

    This will be successfully performed when:

    1. Manage and maintain daily sales, ensuring visually appealing displays that encourage visitors to enter the gift shop.
    2. Manage the gift shop inventory by conducting monthly counts to ensure accuracy.
    3. Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop new products to be sold in the JAARS gift shop.
    4. Track weekly sales and adjust inventory levels accordingly, working closely with purchasing to adjust orders accordingly.
    5. Manage the gift shop budget and reconcile weekly cash sales.
    6. Ensure prompt fulfillment of sales from the E-commerce platform (once it has been established).

    Project Coordination & Events

    This will be successfully performed when:

    1. Coordinate and execute gift shop participation in organizational events, seasonal promotions, and special initiatives.
    2. Collaborate with different departments in the launch and management of E-com.
    3. Lead projects for new gift shop displays that further the customer experience at the JAARS gift shop.
    4. Manage inventory for the mobile gift shop with MATA’s and JAARS Day.

    Volunteer & Customer Engagement

    This will be successfully performed when:

    1. Address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
    2. Work with staff to ensure they receive the appropriate discount and handle any requests in a timely manner.
    3. Supervise a team of volunteers who assist customers with merchandise inquiries and process payments.
    4. Uphold policies and procedures for the operation of the JAARS Gift Shops.

    General Staff Functions

    This will be successfully performed when:

    1. Regular attendance occurs at all appropriate departmental and base staff meetings
    2. Continual involvement in professional development activities is planned and occurring
    3. All reports are submitted in an excellent and timely manner

    Position Requirements

    • A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
    • Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in retail environments and e-commerce platforms.
    • Proficient in oral and written communication.
    • Interacts positively and collaboratively as a member and leader of a team.
    • Ability to analyze sales data and interpret sales trends.
    • Proficient in Point-of-sale systems.
    • Proficient in Google Suite.
    • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
