Organization: Give Her SPACE, Inc.
Location: Remote with occasional in-person events (Central New Jersey preferred)
Commitment: 5–10 hours per week (Flexible)

Through educational programs, wellness initiatives, community events, volunteer opportunities, and faith-centered gatherings, we empower women while fostering sisterhood and belonging.
Position Overview
Give Her SPACE is seeking a creative, organized, and passionate Volunteer Social Media Intern to help expand our online presence and inspire our growing community. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or early-career professional interested in nonprofit marketing, digital communications, content creation, and community engagement.
The ideal candidate understands the importance of authentic storytelling and enjoys creating meaningful content that reflects the values of Muslim women and community empowerment.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging social media content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms as needed.
- Design graphics, stories, reels, and short-form videos using Canva or similar design tools. Collaborate in a team with a Videographer around this.
- Assist with planning and maintaining a monthly content calendar.
- Capture and edit content from community events (when available).
- Write engaging captions aligned with Give Her SPACE's mission and voice.
- Respond to comments and messages professionally when assigned.
- Research social media trends, hashtags, and best practices.
- Support campaigns promoting fundraising events, workshops, classes, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to brainstorm creative campaign ideas.
- Help maintain consistent branding across all social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current college student, recent graduate, or individual seeking nonprofit marketing experience.
- Interest in nonprofit work, community engagement, or women's empowerment.
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok best practices.
- Experience using Canva (required); Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
- Comfortable creating reels and short-form video content.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Respectful of diverse Muslim cultures and committed to representing the organization with professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
- Photography or videography experience is a bonus.
