    THIS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY REQUIRES APPLICANTS TO HAVE 10+ YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN THE NONPROFIT SECTOR, PREFERABLY AS A PROFESSIONAL FUNDRAISER OR IN A SENIOR DIRECTOR POSITION.

    By sharing our expertise with NGOs in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), SEVA Travelers’ pro bono consultants, coaches and trainers are empowering the next generation of social entrepreneurs with the skills they need to succeed.

    Pro-bono Consulting Services

    S.E.V.A. Travelers offers great nonprofits in Asia, Latin America, and Africa free consulting services to achieve greater scale and impact. This pro bono support includes:

    • Grant proposal writing (and training staff how to write winning grant proposals)
    • Foundation and corporate funding prospect research
    • Fundraising strategy development
    • Website design and development
    • Social media, marketing, and communications support
    • Fundraising Databases/software
    • Designing Monitoring, Learning & Evaluation systems

    SEVA Travelers has partnered with GlobalGiving to identify great nonprofits in low- and middle-income countries. Together we have reached out to almost a thousand NGOs in the Global South about our suite of pro bono consulting services and the possibility of hosting a SEVA Traveler. Thanks to this exciting partnership, S.E.V.A.     SEVA Travelers offers host organizations to choose from in Uganda, providing volunteers the opportunity to contribute to initiatives focused on education, youth empowerment, healthcare, community development, women and children’s support, and climate resilience. Volunteers will collaborate with impactful nonprofits that are building long-term organizational capacity through fundraising strategy, grant writing, donor engagement, communications development, and digital outreach, all while experiencing Uganda’s vibrant culture, diverse communities, and landscapes.

    These vetted and verified NGOs include organizations working across sectors such as education, rural development, youth leadership, and health. Volunteers will engage directly with local teams, offering their expertise to strengthen systems, expand fundraising capacity, and enhance organizational impact.

    Voice for Humanity Uganda – Katakwi, Uganda

    Voice for Humanity Uganda supports vulnerable communities through education, livelihoods, and human rights advocacy. Volunteers will help expand fundraising initiatives, refine digital communications, develop donor engagement strategies, and strengthen social media and marketing efforts to attract international support.

    Development Alert – Tororo, Uganda

    Development Alert works to promote sustainable rural development and community empowerment. Volunteers will assist with marketing campaigns, grant writing, donor engagement, and online fundraising strategies to raise visibility and funding for their programs.

    Cosma Sustainable Rural Development – Kampala, Uganda

    Cosma Sustainable Rural Development supports rural communities through sustainable agriculture, social enterprise, and economic empowerment initiatives. Volunteers will help develop a holistic fundraising strategy, enhance donor relations, and create revenue-generating models to improve long-term sustainability.

    Kasese Humanist School is a secular education-focused institution providing inclusive education to children in Kasese. Volunteers will assist with donor outreach, grant writing, fundraising strategies, and infrastructure development to expand student access and improve facilities.
