Elara Caring Hospice is looking for a volunteer that is willing to provide companionship / respite care to a patient living in their private home in Defiance, OH. What is respite care? Respite care visits consist of sitting with a patient so their caregiver is able to run errands or simply have a break from 24-hour care giving. Respite care is important because it helps prevent caregiver burnout and ensures the patient's safety. These visits typically last 1-2 hours.
