The Green Cause is a youth-led environmental nonprofit dedicated to educating our future generations and platforming young environmental stewards and leaders. Through engaging educational workshops, community initiatives, and our chapter program, we empower youth and communities to take action in protecting our planet. Our mission is rooted in collaboration, innovation, and inspiring the next generation to lead sustainable lifestyles and create lasting impact.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Fundraising Lead helps secure funding to support The Green Cause’s programs and growth. They are responsible for finding grants we can apply to, assisting in writing grant applications with review from lead coordinators, and submitting finalized applications. They will also conduct outreach to relevant donors, foundations, and support collaborations with fundraising campaigns. As we increase our social media presence, they will also help explore innovative ways to fundraise through digital platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and identify grant opportunities
• Assist in writing grant applications (with review from lead coordinators)
• Submit finalized grant applications
• Conduct outreach to donors and foundations
• Support fundraising campaigns and collaborations
• Explore social media based fundraising strategies
• Track applications, deadlines, and donor communication

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ages 18 and older

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising
• Understanding of fiscal sponsorship
• Early career individuals preferred (ages 18-25), but we accept older applicants with relevant experience

Please note that this is an unpaid position, but we do award community service hours.
