Volunteer PR and Communications Partner for Fatherhood Advocacy Nonprofit

Hello,

My name is Jerron Hurtt Sr., and I’m the founder of The Hurtt Fathers Advocate Corporation, a Maryland-based nonprofit dedicated to reuniting fathers with their children and strengthening families.

I’ve personally experienced the deep pain and challenges that many fathers face. After stepping in to protect my children, I found myself in a long and difficult custody battle that has taken a tremendous mental, emotional, and financial toll. Like so many fathers across all races and income levels, I was not accused of a crime, only of being a loving father who stood up for his kids.

In that fight, I spent over $100,000 in family court and lost my home, my business, and my vehicle. Yet even in the middle of that heartbreak, I refused to give up.

I turned my pain into passion and created a nonprofit that now provides mental health support, job training, and youth empowerment programs that teach young people how to use social media positively and purposefully. We are also developing a Legal Defense Fund to help fathers in custody battles secure fair representation and a voice in court, something I never had.

Our mission has reached millions. My story has been featured on WMAR and WBAL for the example I’ve set as a dedicated and loving father. I’ve also appeared on national platforms with Dr. Steve Perry, Dr. Rashad Richey, and Dr. Quartelai, who have all highlighted the importance of fatherhood, family, and justice.

I’m now looking for a passionate Public Relations volunteer to help us amplify this message, someone who can help share our mission with the world, increase our visibility, and connect with potential sponsors, media outlets, and community partners.

Our online content has reached over one billion views, and we are ready to turn that awareness into real impact for fathers and children across the country.
