Descrição
- Regulatory Compliance (North Carolina & Federal)
- Ensure compliance with North Carolina nonprofit regulations, IRS 501(c)(3) requirements, and state-level filings.
- Stay updated on changes in state and federal nonprofit laws affecting WOCOTM.
- Oversee compliance with employment laws (EEOC, wage & hour, workplace safety) as they apply to staff and volunteers.
- Grant & Donor Compliance
- Monitor and ensure adherence to grant conditions, reporting deadlines, and donor requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and grant-related expenditures.
- Policy Development & Oversight
- Draft, review, and update compliance-related policies such as anti-fraud, whistleblower, conflict of interest, and safeguarding policies.
- Maintain the employee and volunteer handbook to reflect current laws and best practices.
- Training & Awareness
- Organize compliance training sessions for staff, trustees, and volunteers.
- Provide guidance on ethical practices, confidentiality, and organizational code of conduct.
- Risk Management & Reporting
- Identify potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare compliance reports for the Executive Director and Board of Trustees.
- Data Protection & Confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and safeguard sensitive organizational and beneficiary information.
