Gala: Event Support

Role Overview

Support our event as it’s happening! During the event, you help ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests. Volunteers in this role will assist during event hours and be assigned tasks based on real‑time event needs, volunteer availability, and any relevant skills shared in advance. If you enjoy people-facing roles, this is for you.

What You’ll Help With

(Tasks are assigned based on event needs; volunteers may support one or more areas.)

• Greeting guests and assisting with event check‑in
• Providing wayfinding and answering basic guest questions
• Supporting presenters, vendors, or activity stations
• Monitoring rooms or activity areas
• Distributing materials, programs, or refreshments
• Assisting staff with light logistics and troubleshooting
• Helping maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and organized event environment

How Roles Are Assigned

Volunteers will be assigned a specific role at check‑in or during their shift based on event needs, volunteer availability, and any skills or accommodations shared ahead of time. While we do our best to consider volunteer interests, flexibility is essential to support a successful event.

Skills & Requirements

• Friendly and comfortable talking with guests
• Customer service experience a plus, but not required
• Ability to be on your feet for the shift
