Reiki Volunteer – Support Healing & Staff Well-Being at NorthBay Health

NorthBay Health is seeking compassionate and certified Reiki Volunteers to support both patient comfort and employee well-being through integrative healing practices.

Reiki volunteers play a meaningful role in enhancing the healing environment by offering gentle, non-invasive energy support to patients, visitors, and staff. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about holistic care and want to make a direct impact in a healthcare setting.

Our Reiki program is growing and includes opportunities to support:

• Infusion Center patients
• Inpatient units (as appropriate)
• Staff wellness initiatives and resilience programs
• Special events and “pop-up” wellness sessions across departments

Responsibilities:

• Provide Reiki sessions in a professional, compassionate, and respectful manner
• Follow all hospital guidelines, including patient privacy and infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with staff and Volunteer Services
• Document visits as required
• Maintain a calming and supportive presence for patients, visitors, and employees

Qualifications:

• Certified Reiki Practitioner (Level II or higher preferred)
• Experience providing Reiki sessions in a professional or volunteer setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable in a healthcare environment

Requirements:

• Commitment of at least one consistent shift per month (1–2 hours)
• Completion of NorthBay Health onboarding process (4–6 weeks), including:
  • Health clearance (provided at no cost)
  • Background check (provided at no cost)
  • Orientation and training
• Ability to adhere to hospital policies and dress code
