AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to provide spiritual companionship to patients nearing the end of life. This is a meaningful opportunity to sit with someone, offer presence, and support their emotional and spiritual well-being, no religious affiliation or formal training required.

What You’ll Do:

• • Provide gentle, non-denominational spiritual support through presence, conversation, reflection, or quiet companionship.
  • Offer comfort by listening deeply, holding space, or reading calming/inspirational material if desired by the patient.
  • Support the patient’s unique beliefs, values, and end-of-life journey.
  • Work closely with our Volunteer & Bereavement Team for guidance and support.

Ideal For Volunteers Who:

  • Are comfortable with silence, reflection, and compassionate presence
  • Value spiritual connection in a broad, inclusive, non-judgmental way

Requirements:

• • Background check, TB test, and onboarding training required
  • Reliable transportation for in-person visits
