Lift Spirits: Be a Respite Assistant for Older Adults with Memory Loss
Detalhes
Descrição
Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity where you can make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing early- to mid-stage memory loss and their dedicated caregivers? Join The Gathering, a vibrant group respite program offered by Lyngblomsten Community Services!
The Gathering provides a welcoming and stimulating environment for adults living with memory loss. During our four-hour sessions, participants engage in brain-healthy activities, socialize with peers, and build friendships within a consistent weekly cohort. This allows their family members and friends to take a much-needed break from the demands of caregiving, knowing their loved one is in a safe and engaging space.
As a Respite Assistant Volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and supportive experience for our participants. You will work alongside Lyngblomsten staff and a team of trained volunteers to assist with activities, encourage engagement, and foster a sense of community.
