Volunteers must be military veterans (any branch, any era). Dependability, respect for diverse service backgrounds, and sensitivity to end-of-life settings are essential.
Descrição
Veterans share a bond that only fellow service members truly understand. At Compassus Hospice, we’re seeking military veterans to volunteer their time with patients who also served. Your presence brings comfort, recognition, and dignity to veterans at the end of life.
As a Veteran-to-Veteran volunteer, you may:
- Visit and share stories
- Take part in pinning ceremonies and Veterans Day events
- Provide friendly companionship and support for families
- Help connect patients with veteran benefits or replace lost medals
Even a short visit can bring peace, honor, and understanding to a veteran patient and their loved ones.
