Earth Rights Institute is seeking a Volunteer Web Designer and WordPress/Elementor Specialist to help update, expand, and strengthen our website.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys purpose-driven design, has hands-on experience with WordPress, Elementor, and BlueHost, and wants to contribute their skills to meaningful global and local impact work.
You will work closely with ERI’s founder and team to improve site design, add new pages, organize content, and help ensure the website clearly reflects ERI’s mission, programs, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain the ERI website using WordPress (Elementor)
- Create and design new pages for programs, initiatives, and campaigns
- Improve overall site layout, flow, and visual consistency
- Assist with organizing content and improving user experience (UX)
- Make occasional updates as new initiatives, events, or resources are added
- Coordinate directly with ERI leadership for feedback and priorities
Skills & Experience Desired
- Experience with WordPress (required)
- Familiarity with Elementor page builder (required)
- Comfort working with BlueHost-hosted sites
- Basic understanding of web design principles and layout
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed-upon timelines
- Strong communication skills and openness to collaboration
- Interest in sustainability, environmental justice, or regenerative initiatives is a strong plus
Time Commitment
- Flexible and project-based
- Estimated 3–6 hours per week, depending on availability
- Can be done remotely
