The Mobile Sensory Refuge Needs You!
Detalhes
Descrição
The Mobile Sensory Refuge is AutismTN’s effort to bring sensory-friendly accommodations to community events — including sensory toys, quiet areas, and comfortable seating to make these spaces more welcoming and inclusive.
As a volunteer, you play a vital role in bringing this resource to your community. Your support helps create kinder, more accessible spaces and truly drives our mission forward.
Volunteer Role:
Volunteers will help attend the refuge tent by setting up and tearing down the tent and materials, welcoming guests, guiding individuals and families into the station, assisting with sensory materials, and sharing information about AutismTN’s programs and the Predators Foundation’s support of this project.
Ideal Volunteers:
Friendly, patient, and comfortable engaging with people of all ages and abilities. No prior experience in sensory support or autism services is required — just a willingness to learn and help create a supportive environment. We would like to have 2 volunteers minimum, ideally 3, to staff the refuge for each event.
