If a pre-teen in Traverse City is not interested in school sports, there are few safe options for recreation in the after-school hours. At the GT Bay YMCA, we offer games and activities for our Middle School members who walk over after their school day is over!
After School Lead Volunteers (ASLV) work alongside staff to supervise our Middle School members between 2:45p and 5:00pm. Volunteers also support our youth volunteers, Middle School Mentors, in youth activities and engagement.
We are looking for volunteers who enjoy youthful energy and want to help our middle schoolers have fun after school.

All volunteers will need to fill out an application and meet with Rachel for a brief interview. A background check is required to volunteer for this position (paid for by the YMCA.) YMCA membership is not a requirement for this position, but it is preferred.
