Overview:
Future Arts is seeking a creative and digitally savvy Junior Social Media & Digital Storytelling Coordinator to support our 2026 initiatives, including Future Arts Way and related programs. This role is ideal for a student or emerging creative interested in arts, technology, cultural storytelling, and community impact.
The coordinator will help amplify Future Arts’ mission through thoughtful content creation, social media management, and digital storytelling that highlights artists, partners, and community voices in the Seattle cultural and technology ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation:
Develop and schedule engaging content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms, including posts, reels, short-form videos, and stories.
Digital Storytelling:
Document behind-the-scenes moments, artist spotlights, partnership highlights, and event activations. Help translate complex creative-tech initiatives into accessible bite sized narratives.
Community Engagement:
Monitor comments and messages, support community interaction, and help grow our digital presence with authenticity and care.
Campaign Support: Assist in developing social media campaigns tied to Future Arts Way, fundraising initiatives, artist open calls, and public events.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track performance metrics and provide monthly summaries with insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
Brand Alignment:
Ensure visual and written content aligns with Future Arts’ tone, values, and commitment to inclusive, community-centered storytelling.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, Media Studies, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- Strong writing skills and visual sensibility.
- Experience creating content for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, or similar platforms.
- Basic design or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe, etc.).
- Organized, self-motivated, and excited about arts, culture, and technology.
- Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Google Drive, Notion, Slack, and Later or similar scheduling tools is a plus.
