Homework Help Volunteer at the Santa Maria Public Library

Homework Help Volunteer:

The ideal volunteer would be comfortable working with children in grades k-6 and assisting with their homework. This volunteer opportunity is for the duration of the school year. We do not have homework help during Thanksgiving break, Winter break, or Spring break.

• Available until 5:30 pm.
• Comfortable with technology.
• Knowledge of grade school subject areas helpful.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Monday 3:00pm-5:30pm

Tuesday 3:00pm-5:30pm

Wednesday 3:00pm-5:30pm

Thursday 3:00pm-5:30pm

We are looking for one volunteer each day, however, if a volunteer wants to help out more than one day that would be great.

Santa Maria Public Library Volunteer Requirements:

• Volunteers must be 16 years or older.
• Volunteers should be able to commit to at least 25 hours over the time you’re planning to volunteer.
• Volunteers must have proof of health insurance.
• Volunteers must be volunteering as an individual, we are unable to accommodate groups, organizations, or court-ordered community service hours.
• All volunteers must go through a background check process (this is coordinated and completed in the last part of the application process).
