ROLE TITLE: Partnership Managers (+Farm Ambassador/School Ambassador)

LOCATION: Various Sites in Olympia, Washington State

LEVEL/SALARY: This is an unpaid volunteer role. Optional commission-based opportunities with external partner organizations may be available but are not required and are not part of the volunteer duties for C.A.R.E. Wellness Center.

DESIRED HOURS: Monday through Friday, flexible hours

ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION: C.A.R.E. Wellness Center & Services

C.A.R.E. Wellness Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity with a mission of providing a safe farm stay, holistic retreat, and wellness programs for BIPOC community and allies for equality. Its programs are focused on persons of color and work with vulnerable populations such as BIPOC with justice-involvement, foster youth, and those suffering mental health challenges. The person in this role must be sensitive to these populations and center their duties on wellness.

Our Mission is to provide a safe farm stay, holistic retreat, and wellness programs for black, indigenous, people of color and allies, to recover from Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome via Spirituality, AgroTourism, and Racial Justice.

Our Vision is Connectivity: to Nature; to God; and to Self. Our goal of acquiring farmland is to establish a safe spiritual retreat for people of color to escape constant trauma and begin repairing their fractured foundation and realize self-actualization. Our programs are a research community project with a goal of empowering others to heal from PTSS.

    JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking three dynamic Partnership Managers to work asynchronous and synchronously to build and maintain community partnerships. There will be a lead Partnership Manager who coordinates site visits for a School Ambassador and Farm Ambassador who work in the field. These roles are pivotal in expanding our reach and impact by meeting with organizations within the community, tabling school or farm sites, marketing our programs and services, representing C.A.R.E. at various events, and nurturing our relationships with key partners in the agricultural and educational sectors, as well as with the local community. There is also an opportunity for commission-based work if you're also interested and have experience in sales, as our partners are offering part-time sales work to those able to market and sale their products at events. If you are extroverted and excited to represent C.A.R.E., its mission, and our partners, this will be an exciting and rewarding role for you.

    ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Partnership Manager will lead C.A.R.E. Wellness Center’s community engagement initiatives by supervising and supporting the Farm Ambassador and School Ambassador roles. This position is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with local farms, professionals, organizations, and educational institutions, ensuring alignment with our mission to promote wellness, spirituality, racial justice, and sustainable practices. This is done by managing our client list, scheduling community engagement visits and surveys to build and maintain connections internationally. The Partnership Manager will oversee outreach efforts, coordinate program activities with the Program Manager, and ensure successful implementation of agrotourism within our programs.

The Farm Ambassador plays a vital role in fostering connections between C.A.R.E. Wellness Center and local, organic farms. As an advocate for wellness, spirituality, agrotourism, and racial justice, the Farm Ambassador establishes strong relationships with organic farm owners and operators by building contact lists, performing outreach, and establishing a schedule to table on-site. This position contributes to the nonprofit’s mission by facilitating wellness programs on these farm sites and promoting sustainable practices.

The School Ambassador plays a crucial role in building connections between C.A.R.E. Wellness Center and post-secondary schools. Focused on supporting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students interested in agrotourism, the Ambassador establishes relationships that facilitate funding opportunities for upcoming wellness programs. By advocating for our nonprofit, the School Ambassador ensures that students can participate in transformative wellness programs at spiritual locations worldwide during our Winter Exchange Programs. Both positions are hybrid roles, allowing some remote work but preferably in Washington state to table at local events, participate in our events and meet with local organizations. College students are highly encouraged to apply!
