Descrição
Are you an ambitious young professional, graduate student, or community organizer looking to build elite leadership credentials?
The National African Student Association (NAfSA) is seeking a proactive National Chapter Development Coordinator to support our Membership team. In this role, you will help design the systems, onboarding guides, and engagement metrics that support over 60+ collegiate chapters across the United States.
Whether you are looking for a highly flexible, low-commitment volunteer role to fit your corporate schedule, or a structured track to fulfill university or F-1 OPT academic requirements, we have a path for you.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Build the Chapter Onboarding Playbook: Standardize and design a digital "Starter Kit" (using Canva and Google Workspace) to guide new universities through starting a local NAfSA chapter.
- National Database Ownership: Maintain, clean, and segment our national membership database. Set up automated monthly check-ins and update workflows.
- Peer-Mentorship Operations: Coordinate calendar scheduling and feedback loops for our regional chapter mentorship programs, ensuring local leaders have the resources they need.
What We Are Looking For (Qualifications):
- Strong interest or degree alignment in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Organizational Leadership.
- A organized, proactive, and empathetic communicator who is passionate about supporting student leaders in the African diaspora.
- Ability to commit 20 hours per week remotely on a consistent schedule.
What’s In It For You (Perks & Benefits):
- 🎓 F-1 OPT Approved Placement: As a qualified 501(c)(3) organization, we will issue a formal, signed engagement letter on official letterhead outlining your 20-hour/week commitment and linking your duties directly to your major.
- 📈 Hard Skills & Metrics: Build a bulletproof resume detailing how you scaled, structured, and managed national student operations for a major diaspora nonprofit.
- 🌐 Direct Mentorship & Networking: Report directly to the Membership Director with opportunities for references and executive board endorsements.
