Veterans, active duty, or anyone who wishes to honor our aging Veterans, are welcome to participate in our ongoing mission to "Go the extra mile for those who already have". Emerald Coast Hospice honors American Veterans on admission, for special occasions, and at their passing. The latest statistics show that 1 in 4 dying Americans is a Veteran. Our goal is to allow them to die with dignity and respect, surrounded by those who appreciate the sacrifice they've made. Volunteers are needed to participate on our Veteran Volunteer Board, serve as Patient Support Volunteers (visits with Veterans), and to provide Caregiver Relief for the families of Veterans (starting at just a couple of hours, twice a month).
