    Descrição

Help build the future of trauma-informed care for young mothers.

Young Mothers, Inc. (YMI) is seeking a licensed Clinical Director to lead the design and implementation of high-quality, trauma-informed mental health programming as we pursue CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) provider status.

At YMI, our mission is to educate, mentor, nurture, and support young mothers in becoming self-sufficient for themselves and their families. Our work is grounded in two core pillars: Health & Wellness and Education.

    Why This Role Matters

This is a unique opportunity to build clinical infrastructure from the ground up within a growing nonprofit at a pivotal stage of expansion. As YMI evolves from community-based wellness initiatives to structured, regulated service delivery, the Clinical Director will play a central role in shaping our clinical strategy, ensuring compliance, and preparing the organization for CMS alignment.

If you are a clinician who is passionate about systems-building, community impact, and scalable mental health solutions, this role offers both purpose and leadership.

    Position Overview

The Clinical Director will provide strategic and clinical leadership to ensure all Health & Wellness services are trauma-informed, ethically grounded, and compliant with regulatory standards required for CMS readiness.

You will collaborate closely with executive leadership to design sustainable, compliant, and impactful mental health programming that can grow with the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide clinical oversight across all Health & Wellness programs
    • Lead development of policies and procedures to support CMS provider readiness
    • Guide leadership on compliance, documentation standards, and regulatory alignment
    • Design and implement trauma-informed frameworks for workshops, support groups, and hotline services
    • Establish crisis response protocols, safeguarding procedures, and referral systems
    • Develop intake processes, documentation workflows, and record management systems
    • Ensure adherence to confidentiality standards, including HIPAA-informed practices and ethical guidelines
    • Evaluate service models for Medicaid eligibility and potential billing structures (as applicable)
    • Train staff and volunteers on boundaries, mandated reporting, and participant safety
    • Participate in bi-weekly leadership meetings and organizational planning
    • Recommend evidence-based improvements to strengthen impact, sustainability, and accountability

    Qualifications

    • Active clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent)
    • Experience in trauma-informed care and community-based mental health
    • Familiarity with CMS requirements, Medicaid systems, or healthcare compliance strongly preferred
    • Experience developing clinical systems, policies, or service delivery frameworks
    • Strong knowledge of documentation standards and regulatory requirements
    • Demonstrated leadership or a strong interest in building clinical infrastructure
    • Collaborative, strategic, and systems-oriented mindset

    Join Us

This is more than a leadership role; it’s an opportunity to shape a model of care that supports young mothers at a critical stage in their lives. Your expertise will directly contribute to building a sustainable, compliant, and compassionate system of support.

We look forward to receiving your application. All information will be kept confidential in accordance with EEO guidelines.
