Join Habitat at our Oakland ReStore (located at 9235 San Leandro Street, Oakland, CA 94603).
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, appliances, and now apparel to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds are used to build homes, community, and hope locally and around the world.
Typical Apparel Volunteer activities include evaluating apparel by the quality of the garments to sell on our store floor in the back on our warehouse side. You will need to be able to distinguish sellable apparel from not sellable apparel. Non-sellable apparel will be anything that is dirty, torn, stained, smelly, etc. No experience is necessary.
This opportunity is available for 2 volunteers per shift on Wednesdays only.
AM Shift: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (2 volunteer spots)
PM Shift: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm (2 volunteer spots)
