    THIS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY REQUIRES APPLICANTS TO HAVE 10+ YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN THE NONPROFIT SECTOR, PREFERABLY AS A PROFESSIONAL FUNDRAISER OR IN A SENIOR DIRECTOR POSITION.

    By sharing our expertise with NGOs in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), SEVA Travelers’ pro bono consultants, coaches and trainers are empowering the next generation of social entrepreneurs with the skills they need to succeed.

    Pro-bono Consulting Services

    S.E.V.A. Travelers offers great nonprofits in Asia, Latin America, and Africa free consulting services to achieve greater scale and impact. This pro bono support includes:

    • Grant proposal writing (and training staff how to write winning grant proposals)
    • Foundation and corporate funding prospect research
    • Fundraising strategy development
    • Website design and development
    • Social media, marketing, and communications support
    • Fundraising Databases/software
    • Designing Monitoring, Learning & Evaluation systems

    SEVA Travelers has partnered with GlobalGiving to identify great nonprofits in low- and middle-income countries. Together we have reached out to almost a thousand NGOs in the Global South about our suite of pro bono consulting services and the possibility of hosting a SEVA Traveler. Thanks to this exciting partnership, S.E.V.A.     SEVA Travelers offers host organizations to choose from in Zimbabwe, providing volunteers the opportunity to contribute to initiatives focused on education, youth empowerment, environmental conservation, climate action, women and children’s support, and community development. Volunteers will collaborate with impactful nonprofits that are building long-term organizational capacity through fundraising strategy, grant writing, donor engagement, and communications development, all while experiencing Zimbabwe’s rich culture, diverse landscapes, and natural heritage.

    These vetted and verified NGOs include:

    SparkREAD Trust – Harare, Zimbabwe

    SparkREAD Trust promotes literacy, reading programs, and youth education initiatives across Zimbabwe. Volunteers will support grant proposal writing, donor engagement, fundraising strategy, and marketing efforts to expand literacy programs and community impact.

    Zimconserve – Chitungwiza/Harare, Zimbabwe

    Zimconserve focuses on environmental conservation, climate resilience, and community awareness programs. Volunteers will assist with fundraising strategies, grant writing, donor communications, and campaign development to strengthen conservation efforts.

    Sustainable World Zimbabwe Trust – Rusape, Zimbabwe

    Sustainable World Zimbabwe Trust empowers rural communities through sustainable development projects, including agriculture, environmental stewardship, and social enterprise. Volunteers will contribute to fundraising strategy, donor relations, and project planning to increase organizational sustainability.

    Refugee Coalition for Climate Action (RCCA) – Chipinge, Zimbabwe

    RCCA supports climate action initiatives, youth empowerment, and refugee-led environmental projects. Volunteers will help with grant writing, developing donor strategies, monitoring and evaluation systems, and community outreach to strengthen program impact.

    Society for Pre and Post Natal Services (SPANS) – Dzivarasekwa, Zimbabwe

    SPANS provides maternal and child health support, education, and advocacy programs. Volunteers will assist with fundraising strategy, grant proposals, communications, and donor engagement to enhance service delivery for mothers and children.

    Women In Communities Zimbabwe (WICO) – Gweru, Zimbabwe

    WICO works to empower women and vulnerable populations through vocational training, education, and community development programs. Volunteers will help develop fundraising campaigns, donor engagement plans, and digital communications strategies.

    Young Achievement Sports for Development (YASD) – Harare, Zimbabwe

    YASD uses sports as a tool for youth development, life skills training, and community engagement. Volunteers will support fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, and project evaluation to expand youth programs and improve outcomes.

    Tekeshe Foundation focuses on education, women’s empowerment, and local development initiatives in Chipinge. Volunteers will assist with grant writing, fundraising strategies, digital communications, and partnership development to increase program sustainability.
