Volunteer Program Director – Family Connections & Supervised Visitation Program (DE/MD/PA/AZ)
Location: Remote (with future hybrid opportunities in Delaware)
Commitment: Approximately 20-25 hours per week
About LoopRoots Foundation
LoopRoots Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and supporting justice-impacted individuals through transportation, housing, workforce development, food access, wellness initiatives, family stabilization, and community partnerships.
We are launching an exciting new initiative to design and implement a Family Connections & Supervised Visitation Program in Delaware. This program will provide safe, structured, trauma-informed visitation and family reunification services while building strong partnerships with courts, child welfare agencies, and community organizations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a mission-driven Volunteer Program Director to lead the planning and development of this new program from the ground up.
This is an opportunity to help build a flagship initiative that will serve children and families across Delaware while establishing a model that can later expand into additional states.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead development of the Delaware supervised visitation program.
- Research Delaware laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Assist with licensing, compliance, and court-recognition requirements.
- Develop policies, procedures, and operational workflows.
- Build relationships with courts, attorneys, child welfare agencies, and community partners.
- Assist with facility planning and program design.
- Support grant research and funding opportunities.
- Help recruit volunteers and future program staff.
- Collaborate with LoopRoots leadership to establish long-term program goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in child welfare, family services, social work, nonprofit leadership, juvenile justice, family law, behavioral health, or court administration.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Passion for strengthening families and improving child safety.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a growing nonprofit organization.
What You'll Help Build
The long-term vision includes a Family Connections & Supervised Visitation Center offering supervised visitation, neutral exchanges, parenting education, family reunification support, transportation coordination, resource navigation, and other family stabilization services.
This volunteer leadership role offers the opportunity to shape a program from its earliest stages and create lasting impact for children and families throughout Delaware.
