About Sync with God

Sync with God is a discipleship movement dedicated to helping people develop a daily, interactive relationship with God through Scripture, prayer, listening, and obedience. Through coaching, mentoring, and digital resources, we equip individuals and ministry leaders to grow in spiritual maturity and help others do the same.

We believe spiritual transformation happens best in community and are seeking a passionate Volunteer Coordinator to help build and support a thriving volunteer team that advances our mission.

Position Summary

The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, onboard, organize, and encourage volunteers who serve in various areas of the ministry, including coordinating volunteer recruitment efforts through platforms such as Idealist.org. This individual will play a key role in creating a positive volunteer experience while ensuring volunteers are equipped, connected, and aligned with the mission and values of Sync with God.

Volunteer Recruitment and Placement

• • Manage and maintain Sync with God's presence on Idealist.org and other volunteer recruitment platforms by posting opportunities, updating listings, and promoting volunteer needs through churches, ministry networks, social media, and online communities.
  • Respond to volunteer inquiries, review applications, and schedule introductory conversations with prospective volunteers.
  • Help assess volunteers' gifts, interests, experience, and availability in order to connect them with meaningful service opportunities.
  • Coordinate the transition of new volunteers into the onboarding process and provide ongoing support throughout their volunteer journey.

Desired Qualifications

• • Passion for Christian discipleship and spiritual formation.
  • Personal commitment to growing in relationship with God.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience working with volunteers, churches, ministries, or nonprofit organizations is helpful but not required.
  • Experience using volunteer recruitment platforms such as Idealist.org, VolunteerMatch, or similar tools is helpful but not required.
  • Comfortable using email, Zoom, Google Workspace, and basic online collaboration tools.
