This particular opportunity requires the availability and willingness to respond to calls for service on short notice. Vigil volunteers are utilized specifically in the final moments of a patient's life to offer their presence during this transition.

Gentiva believes that no one should be alone at the end of life's journey. You can help our patients overcome isolation when it matters most.

Demonstrate companionship, dignity and respect by sitting with them, reading aloud, sharing stories, holding their hand, or simply being there. Although these visits can come with short notice, we will work with your availability.
