Volunteer Hybrid Donations Outreach Coordinator

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Donations Outreach Coordinator to join our team at Chester’s Corner Animal Rescue.

Our mission is to provide abandoned animals with medical care, emotional support, and a path toward loving, permanent homes. How You Will Contribute:

Purpose:

Generates and manages donation outreach efforts, helping Chester’s Corner secure resources and maintain strong connections with supporters.

Responsibilities:

• Identify potential donors, sponsorships, and funding opportunities
• Coordinate outreach communications to potential donors
• Track outreach efforts and report back progress to leadership
• Maintain professional relationships with donors and supporters

Immediate Ownership:

This role owns the outreach process for donations, managing connections and initial communications. Leadership sets goals and approves major initiatives, but you manage the execution independently.

Required Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of prior experience in donor outreach, fundraising, or similar nonprofit work
• Strong professional communication skills (email, phone, and written correspondence)
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
• Comfortable managing confidential information
• Must reside in San Jose or the immediate surrounding area
• Must have a working computer with reliable internet

Commitment Details:

• Approximately 1–3 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling
• Hybrid role: work is a combination of remote communications and in-person participation at local events
