Join the Vegan Outreach team as a Volunteer for the Marin County Vegan Chef Challenge and support a fun, month-long celebration of vegan cuisine in your area!

What is the Vegan Chef Challenge (VCC)?

The VCC is a fun community event that brings restaurants and foodies together to dramatically increase vegan menu offerings in cities across the U.S. The first Marin County VCC was held in October 2025, and the second edition kicks off on May 1st! The lead organizers are two wonderful Sausalito and Novato residents.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

As a VCC Volunteer, you’ll work with a local Lead Organizers to:

• Reach out to local restaurants to encourage their participation.
• Spread the word through social media, flyers, and local networks.
• Engage with community members to boost excitement and event attendance.
• Support event coordination as needed during the month-long challenge.

This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity that directly contributes to increasing vegan options and awareness in your area. The organizing efforts will last from early February until mid-June, with some weeks being super quiet and other weeks a little busier. You're also welcome to only help with one task of your choice!
