Homage Senior Services is looking for a compassionate and dependable Senior Peer Support Counselors (55+) to join our Mental Health Program. This position provides peer support, encouragement, and connection to older adults experiencing loneliness, isolation, grief, depression, anxiety, and life transitions.
What You’ll Do
Provide one-on-one peer support and encouragement to older adults.
Build trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Use lived experience to provide hope, support, and practical coping strategies.
Connect clients with community, health, and social service resources.
Support groups, outreach, and wellness activities.
Maintain basic documentation and participate in team meetings and training.
What We’re Looking For
Someone who genuinely enjoys working with older adults.
Strong listening, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Personal lived experience that can appropriately be used to support others.
Compassion, reliability, and respect for confidentiality and boundaries.
Experience in peer support, behavioral health, social services, or working with older adults is helpful, but not required.
Training is provided! Our next Peer Support training class begins in October. We are looking for someone with the heart and ability to connect with older adult, we will provide the training and support you need to succeed.
