Dog therapy volunteers typically visit with patients once every two weeks to once a month, whatever works best for both the patient’s needs and the volunteer’s schedule. It’s a very flexible commitment!

Continuum Care Hospice requires a 2-step TB skin test (done through us for free) or a negative blood test or chest-xray done through another medical provider. We also require proof of car insurance.

Continuum Care Hospice is always looking for compassionate, dedicated volunteers to join our team. We currently have opportunities for Dog Therapy volunteers in Snohomish County!
If you and your canine companion enjoy bringing comfort and connection to others, we would love to match you with patients who would benefit from the warmth only a therapy dog can provide. Our pet therapy teams often sit with patients, share peaceful moments, or participate in simple activities that create joy and ease. Your dog’s presence can offer comfort, reduce anxiety, and provide meaningful emotional support to those nearing the end of life.
