Teen Center Volunteer

Become a volunteer in our Teen Department and forge meaningful connections with teens through a variety of mentoring opportunities. Participate in diverse activities and spaces, such as STEAM workshops, hands-on projects, and athletic events, while providing assistance with career guidance, life skills, and college and career readiness. Volunteers are essential in supporting our staff, ensuring that mentors are available, and motivating teens to pursue their interests and passions.

Responsibilities/Skills and experience relevant to this position:

• Maintain a safe and fun working environment for the teens
• Greet and check in all members
• Assist in planning and implementing weekly programs such as SMART Girls and Passport to Manhood
• Provide career and college planning assistance to members
• Provide ideas and feedback for potential projects
• Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor

Flexible Scheduling: Volunteers can select their preferred days and times, with a minimum commitment of two hours per shift. Volunteer hours are available:

• School Year: 2 PM - 8 PM
• Summer: 8 AM - 8 PM

Choose from weekly or monthly shifts based on your availability.
