Veteran Hospice Volunteer

Brighton is seeking veterans to provide companionship to fellow veterans, as well as participating in honoring our veterans through pinning ceremonies to recognize their service to our country. Veteran volunteers can relate to the stories told, share their own experiences, and empathize with our veteran patients in a unique way. Veteran volunteers can also assist with presenting certificates of appreciation on behalf of our hospice care team and say a few words to honor their service.

Our patients are located throughout the Eugene-Spingfield area at various care communities and in private homes. We will match and introduce you to a patient in your area.

Our onboarding process includes comprehensive hospice education and training. We also require a background check and tuberculosis test.
