Have you ever thought of being an advocate for those living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities? This is your chance to be a resident's voice and help members of our aging community navigate the challenges of long-term care!
Our Fall 2025 certification classes are now open for enrollment.
Training classes will be broken up into two parts: Part I will be held Thursday, September 25th, 2025 from 9am-4pm, with the corresponding Part II held Thursday, October 23rd, also from 9am-4pm. Both classes will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
As this is a live virtual training, camera and microphone capabilities are required for participation.
As a certified ombudsman, you will serve some of the most vulnerable individuals within our communities. We provide vital information and assistance to residents and families, as well as help navigate the seemingly ever-changing rules regarding the rights to visitation and care. We hope you will join us in continuing these impactful advocacy efforts.
Please email ombudsman@uth.tmc.edu.edu for an application or call 713-500-9931 with any questions you may have.
We look forward to having you join us!
