Crescent Hospice is in need of a few outstanding Patient Care Volunteers to assist us at our Union location!
Patient Care Volunteers work directly with patients and families and make routine weekly/bi-weekly visits to patient's homes.
Activities that may be done with patient can include:
SCHEDULE
Schedule will be dependent upon the needs of the patient and the availability of the volunteer. In most cases, a volunteer is matched with a patient who has similar schedule needs.
TRAINING
The volunteers at Crescent Hospice are truly invaluable and significant to our mission. We provide hands-on and detailed training along with continuing volunteer support.
LOCATION
Our Union Office is located at 839 Main St Suite D, Buffalo, SC 29321.
A note from our Volunteer Coordinator:
"Howdy, Union! My name is Brian Garner and I am so honored to have the opportunity to build the volunteer program at Crescent Hospice. Having been a hospice volunteer for 4 years, I have seen first-hand the impact of every single volunteer that stands up and says 'YES! I will help!'. A hospice volunteer is unique in the fact that we are serving those who are on the most important part of their journey. Hospice has greatly assisted my own family through loss, so I find immense joy in giving back to our community that has been there for us. If you are considering joining our team, I would love to talk to you and answer any questions you may have!"
Please contact Brian at (864) 542-6655 and/or BrianGarner@hospicesc.com with any questions or if you are ready to begin an application!
Covid-19 vaccination is NOT required to be a Patient Care Volunteer. Crescent Hospice adheres to the proper social distancing and mask guidelines recommended by the CDC. Religious & Medical Exemptions available.
