Customer Support Volunteers on the Prepare + Prosper volunteer team are the ultimate hosts and problem-solvers. They coordinate the many moving parts of the tax clinic process, and connect every customer with the information, documents, and services they need. As a Customer Support Volunteer (CSV), you will:
- Screen every customer and ensure they have all necessary paperwork
- Move around the tax clinic, talking to people about their financial goals and matching them with relevant financial services
- Support customers and volunteers to access and print important documents
- Guide customers to review and sign their completed tax returns
How do I know I am a good fit? No experience required! This role may be a good fit if you are interested in economic justice and you enjoy interacting with many different people, getting your steps in, and being the person with the answers.
- Volunteers should also be proficient in English, comfortable using computers, and enjoy working in an ethnically and socio
economically diverse environment. Bilingual skills in Spanish, Somali, Hmong, or Oromo are helpful but not required.
Commitment:
- Attend an info session in November to learn all about volunteering with P+P
- Complete 7.5 hours of training in December and/or January
- Volunteer one 4-hour shift per week from January 23 - April 15. (with flexibility when needed!)

We'll have several other tax clinic sites throughout the Twin Cities Metro, but our main office is now at The Coven, 2125 E Hennepin Ave Ste LL, Minneapolis, MN 55413. There is a large, free parking lot!

Sign up for an info session! We require new volunteers to attend one to learn about Prepare + Prosper's mission, volunteer options, and volunteer expectations before they can sign up for trainings and pick a volunteer role.
