Hospice Bereavement Volunteer - Virtual

We have volunteer opportunities located all across the state of North Carolina! Come and be an essential part of the interdisciplinary team that offers comfort care to our hospice patients. All volunteers have the chance to assist with event, activity planning and administrative work when possible.

If you enjoy connecting with others, we have in-person opportunities where you can engage with patients, listen to their stories, and offer companionship. Options also include volunteering with our partnering nursing homes assisting with daily activities such as "Bingo, Arts & Crafts, birthday events and more".

All volunteers are required to pass a NC background check and complete our online training course. There are no other requirements for "virtual" volunteers. For in person volunteers, you must also have an up-to-date TB Skin test, or otherwise known as a PPD skin test. We offer these free of charge and have Medical/Religious exemptions.

All underage volunteers require parental or Guardian consent/ supervision. Must be 16 years or older.
