Fill the Room, Fund the Mission: Event Fundraising Volunteer

You know the person who can get a room full of people to show up, open their wallets, and leave asking when the next one is. If that's you, we want to talk.

Invisible Warriors supports women veterans nationwide, and the in-person events we throw here in Alabama are how a lot of that support gets funded. About 18% of veterans are women, and too little of the money out there reaches them here. Your job is to change that, one event at a time.

What you'd actually be doing:

• Plan and run fundraising events, from small gatherings to the big ones

• Land sponsors and secure donations from local businesses

• Work with the logistics team so the money side of each event runs smoothly

• Follow up with sponsors and donors so they come back next year

Who we're looking for: you've planned events or raised money before, or you're the one everyone already asks to organize things. You're comfortable making the ask and you know a lot of people. You don't have to be a veteran. Neither is our founder.

The commitment: roughly 5 to 8 hours a week, more around an event and lighter between them. Hybrid, but the events are in person, so we need you here with us. One honest ask: if you can't commit to the hours or the in-person events, please don't apply. The women we serve are counting on the people who say yes, and a role half-filled costs us more than an empty one.

Why it's worth your time: the dollars you raise pay for real things. Housing and VA navigation, peer support led by women who served, retreats, and a community a woman can turn to at 2 a.m. when she thinks she's the only one. You'll shake hands with the women you're doing this for.
