Focus: A slightly broader role ensuring that both the organization’s corporate credentials and individual facilitators/providers meet the strict compliance baselines required before enrollment can occur.
Human Health Project (HHP) is a health literacy nonprofit empowering patients through community-driven support and education. We are currently executing a 12-week roadmap to launch initial services and establish reimbursement workflows. We are looking for a skilled Volunteer Credentialing and Enrollment Specialist to ensure our compliance and provider data are rock-solid from day one.
The Role:
You will manage the dual pipeline of primary-source verification (credentialing) and health plan setup (enrollment). You will ensure that HHP and its delivery team meet all primary compliance benchmarks required by health plans to clear the way for seamless onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute the primary-source verification of licenses, certifications, and background checks for HHP service deliverers.
- Maintain HHP’s organizational credentials, including NPI (National Provider Identifier) registries, tax documentation, and liability insurance records for payer review.
- Seamlessly transition credentialed files into the active payer enrollment pipeline.
- Build out a clean, centralized database of provider and compliance credentials to support future scaling.
Qualifications:
- Direct experience in healthcare credentialing, medical staff services, or provider data management.
- Knowledge of NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards or NAMSS guidelines is a major plus.
- High attention to detail and experience handling sensitive data with absolute confidentiality.
- Commitment of 5–10 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.
