Website Designer (Volunteer)
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and motivated Website Designer to help shape and elevate Pathos Wildlife's online presence. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design, storytelling, and conservation, and who wants to use their talents to make a meaningful impact.
As our Website Designer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our website visually captures our mission, engages visitors, and inspires action. You will help create a compelling digital experience that showcases our conservation initiatives, connects with supporters, and strengthens our brand across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and enhance website pages that are visually engaging, intuitive, and aligned with Pathos Wildlife's brand identity
- Collaborate with team members to translate organizational goals, campaigns, and initiatives into compelling web experiences
- Improve website layout, navigation, and overall user experience across desktop and mobile devices
- Create and implement new page designs, landing pages, and visual elements as the organization grows
- Ensure consistency in branding, typography, imagery, and design standards throughout the website
- Optimize website aesthetics while maintaining accessibility and usability best practices
- Assist in integrating visual components for donation platforms, newsletters, volunteer applications, and other organizational tools
- Recommend and implement design improvements that enhance engagement, storytelling, and supporter conversion
Preferred Skills (But Not Always Necessary)
- Experience with Wix Editor and Wix Studio
- Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) design
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with responsive design and modern web standards
- Basic knowledge of SEO and website performance optimization
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- Interest in wildlife conservation, nonprofit work, or mission-driven organizations
