Assist a young non-profit organization to prepare for and implement various fundraising events. Duties vary; potential examples include picking up items donated for silent auctions, obtaining supplies, posting publicity materials electronically or on community bulletin boards, assembling silent auction baskets or center pieces, setting up and decorating facilities for events, etc. Represent the Penfield Public Library Foundation with community members and businesses. May be asked to participate in planning meetings. This position is very flexible regarding tasks and scheduling.
As these needs involve site-specific activities, residing in or near Penfield, NY, is preferred. Access to independent transportation is recommended.
The Penfield Public Library Foundation conducts a variety of fundraisers, currently including wine tastings and family-focused game events. We are open to new fundraising ideas and hope to expand our offerings in the future.
