Human Resources Specialist – Part time

We are looking for a part time volunteer HR Specialist for Lily’s Legacy Senior Dog Sanctuary to oversee our HR needs, update our employee handbook and be available during the year to review and approve our HR policies and procedures. Volunteer must have a working knowledge and understanding of California Labor Laws and can both maintain our employee handbook and create and update all relevant HR policies and procedures. Key responsibilities would include ensuring compliance, record keeping, research and advisement. This position would work with the Executive Director and Bookkeeper/Benefits & Payroll to ensure that all HR policies including safety, hiring, salary, workers' comp and other benefits are current and adhered to.

Reports To: Executive Director.
