Lead Curriculum Designer – Youth Programs (Volunteer)

This is a leadership-level volunteer role for experienced curriculum professionals. The focus is on refining, completing, and certifying existing curriculum, not creating content from scratch.

You will work within an established framework to ensure curriculum is:

Cohesive and youth-appropriate

Aligned to external certification standards (IOA)

Ready for LMS delivery

Pilot- and launch-ready

Key Responsibilities

Lead the review, refinement, and completion of existing curriculum modules

Align learning objectives, competencies, and outcomes to IOA certification standards

Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across curriculum tracks

Lead and participate in curriculum-related meetings with IOA and other certification partners

Coordinate with YIAW leadership on priorities, revisions, and timelines

Prepare curriculum documentation required for certification review

Required Experience

Applicants must have:

Senior experience in curriculum development or instructional design

Experience leading or managing curriculum projects or teams

Familiarity with learning outcomes, competencies, and certification frameworks

Comfort representing curriculum work in meetings with external partners or accrediting bodies

Strong documentation and communication skills
