Position Title: Hospice Volunteer - Photographer

Location: Serving Central Ohio and surrounding communities

Photographer Volunteer (Hospice Patients & Veteran Pinning's)

We are seeking a compassionate and creative volunteer to provide the gift of photography to hospice patients and their families. In this role, you will capture meaningful moments, portraits, and family photos that serve as lasting keepsakes during a tender and important stage of life.

Responsibilities include:

• Taking thoughtful, respectful photos of patients and their loved ones in home, inpatient, or facility settings.
• Photographing special hospice events, including Veteran Pinning Ceremonies, to honor and preserve these meaningful moments.
• Listening to patients and families to understand their wishes and ensure their comfort during photo sessions.
• Editing and preparing digital or printed photos to be shared as keepsakes.
• Maintaining confidentiality and honoring the dignity of each individual and family.
• Collaborating with the hospice team to schedule visits and ceremonies in a sensitive, patient-centered manner.

Qualifications:

• Basic to advanced photography skills (professional experience not required, but comfort with a camera is essential).
• Compassion, empathy, and the ability to provide a calm and supportive presence.
• Reliability and flexibility to meet the unique needs of patients and families.
• Respect for diversity and sensitivity to different cultural, emotional, and spiritual backgrounds.
• Willingness to complete hospice volunteer training and adhere to organizational policies.
