Spiritual Companions Reduce Isolation in Terminally Ill Patients

AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate spiritual companion volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients. Whether playing spiritual music, praying with them, reading from a religious text, or simply providing a supportive presence, you can make a difference.

AccentCare Hospice serves patients and families in your area. Spiritual companions share their faith with patients of the same religious background and complement the services of our chaplains. They provide companionship, socialization, and active listening to our patients while also sharing their spirituality.

Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care.

• Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule.
• You can choose what area you want to serve.
• Students age 15 and up can buddy with another trained teen or adult to make in-person visits to patients in facilities.
