Join us in March at YouTube Theater for the 11th annual StudentsBuild Summit!

Event Details: StudentsBuild (formerly GirlsBuild) National Summit

This year’s summit's theme is Own The Future., a call to action for students to step boldly into leadership, wellness, and civic engagement. This summit recognizes that the future isn’t something to wait for—it’s something to shape, build, and claim today. Through powerful conversations, hands-on workshops, and community-building experiences, participants will explore how their voices, choices, and actions can spark meaningful change in their schools, neighborhoods, and beyond.

Location: Youtube Theater & American Airlines Plaza

1011 Stadium Dr, Inglewood, CA 90305

Dates:

• March 10th - Event setup: 11am-3:00pm
• March 11th - Event
  • 9am-11am (plus setup): HelloFutures - We open the day in the American Airlines plaza with a college & career expo to showcase a variety of education resources, STEAM, art, community, health & wellness organizations to provide students with hands on experiences, resources, and more!
  • 11am - 1pm (plus cleanup): Summit, center stage This portion of the event will include keynote speakers and inspiring discussions onstage at YouTube Theater.

Volunteer responsibilities include:

• March 10th: Assist with setup, organizing and packaging giveaways for attendees, supporting event logistics, a day prior to the event.
• March 11th: Attendee and vendor check-in, food & shirt distribution, acting as a brand ambassadors to greet and provide information, ushers and engaging in career development activities for youth.

Volunteers will receive an event tee, lunch, coffee, and entry into the event!

About the Event:

The StudentsBuild National Summit (formerly GirlsBuild) is an annual event by the LA Promise Fund that brings together middle and high school students to develop and implement solutions for community problems, fostering leadership and civic engagement through project-based learning, inspiring speakers (previously, Michelle Obama, Shonda Rhimes, Jason Momoa and more), workshops, and networking with leaders in STEM, business, wellness, sustainability and media. It's a culmination of the StudentsBuild Project, where selected teams receive grants to tackle issues in health, STEM, or entrepreneurship, ultimately empowering young people to become change-makers.

Volunteer Orientation: Will be held ahead of the event to run you through the day and answer questions! Date coming soon!
