Join us as we SOUND THE ALARM!

On these one-day events, we work alongside local fire department personnel, community leaders, fellow Red Cross volunteers, and members of the public as we go neighborhood-by-neighborhood, door-to-door installing FREE smoke alarms and sharing fire-safety information.

Why You Should Join Us

• • ALL ARE WELCOME! Bring friends, family, coworkers, neighbors – even your enemies who we will quickly turn into friends! ? Minimum age is 18; volunteers ages 16–17 may participate with parent/guardian consent.
  • EVERYTHING IS PROVIDED! No experience required. We supply all training, tools, and equipment—plus free breakfast and lunch!
  • FREE T-SHIRTS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS! (while supplies last) Are you part of a group that would like to help? From your church, work, or wherever? Feel free to wear your organization’s apparel. We love celebrating community partnerships. We are also expecting city officials and media on-site.

Home fires take lives every day, but together, we can change that. These events are meaningful and energizing. Most importantly, together we can save lives.
